Laminate Flooring mimics the look of traditional woods while offering easy installation and lasting durability. A wear-resistant decorative surface made of resin-based melamine makes the floor extremely difficult to stain, scratch, or burn with a cigarette. Laminate flooring is a floating floor,
which means it does not fasten directly to the sub-floor. Instead the planks are clicked together.
Solid wood floors are machined from one piece of timber and are available in a range of widths and thicknesses. Most solid wood flooring has to be installed either by secret nailing or fully glued to the sub floor.
